How to distingush biomass pellet fuel
Mar 16, 2018

The  research and development of bio-energy technology has become one of the  world's major hot topics and has attracted the attention of governments  and scientists around the world. Many  countries have formulated corresponding development and research plans,  of which bio-energy development and utilization account for a  considerable share. Many foreign bioenergy technologies and devices have reached the level  of commercialization. Compared with other biomass energy technologies,  biomass particle fuel technology is easier to achieve large-scale  production and use, and its degree of convenience can be comparable to  gas, fuel, and other energy sources.

Wood  pellet biomass fuel is one of the representatives of modern clean and  environmentally friendly energy, and many power plants are using biomass  fuels. For biomass fuels, we still need to carefully identify when purchasing. How do we choose good quality wood pellet biomass fuel? Chinese medicine is still "looked and asked to touch", we may also try this method when purchasing biomass pellets!

Observe  the pellet color, luster, purity, ash content after combustion, and  various types of raw materials. Wood pellets and straw pellets are  mostly light yellow and brown. Pureness means granulation, the better  the granulation condition, the longer the length, the scrap Less  is the finer particles; the less ash content after combustion of the  produced particulate fuels, the purer and better quality of the raw  materials, the only ash content of the pure wood pellets is only 1%, the  least ash content, the ash content of the straw particles is slightly  larger, and the ash content of the domestic waste particles. The highest, up to 30%, the most quality, in addition, there are many  factories in order to save costs, add lime, talcum powder and other  impurities in the particles, after burning, the ash is white; the better  the quality of the particles, the higher the gloss.

Because of the smell of pellets, most of the particles still retain  the odor of their raw materials because the biomass particles cannot add  task additives during the production process. The wood particles have  an aroma of wood, and various kinds of straw particles also have unique  odor of straw.

Ask the production or supplier for raw materials for pellet production. It is said that pure wood chips are not used to dope other types of sawdust. All  kinds of wood sawdust, sawdust, mahogany, and poplar can all be used.  Abandoned scraps from furniture factories can also be used. More broadly speaking, like crop stalks or peanut husks, these things  can be used as raw materials for wood pellet mills. Of course, granules  can not be called wood granules but straw granules.

Touch the pellet  by hand to identify the quality of the particles. Hand  touch particles, smooth surface, no cracks, no scrap, high hardness,  indicating that the quality is good; the surface is not smooth, there  are obvious cracks, debris a lot, the hand will be broken pieces of fine  quality.
