Introduction

With the shortage of environmental resources, we have attached more importance to the comprehensive utilization of biomass energy, and further develop the manufacturing equipment of biomass pellet fuel. In terms of biomass energy utilization, due to the high moisture content of wood chips, sawdust, wood chips, straw and so on. Direct combustion results in low thermal efficiency, incomplete combustion, vaporization in which water takes away a lot of heat energy and a lot of smoke produces, which will increase the cost of environmental protection dust removal. The international general biomass utilization method is: biomass raw materials are ground, dried, dehydrated, de-ashed, molded under high-pressure in sequence. Through these processes, the moisture content of materials will be 12%-14%, calorific value will be 4200-4800kcal/kg, and ash less than 1%. The material are finally made into energy concentrated pellet fuel which are of efficient use. Our company, to meet the market demand, develop a kind of biomass dryer of 3 single channels, known as 3-drum dryer. It is applicable to dry the wood chips, sawdust, bamboo shavings, wood shavings, barley straw, oat straw, wheat straw, rye, straw, rice straw, sorghum straw, corn stalks, stem drying potato vines, beans, and peanut vine of moisture content 35%-45%. According to the features of each biomass material, output size, application requirements, cost control, degree of automation, on-site working conditions to optimize the drying process technology. Recommended products: three-drum dryer, the equipment has features of  large output, high efficiency and energy saving, and occupies a small area. This dryer can save more energy up to 30-50% than the ordinary dryer , which can maximize the energy saving and drying costs.

How It Works:

Ground materials of moisture content 35-50%  are conveyed by conveyor to the dryer drum for downstream drying. In the inner channel, materials under the shoveling plate are shoveled constantly, and march forward in a spiral way. Going through inner, middle and outer channels can realize materials and hot air heat exchange. The material that has been dried to a certain degree moves quickly under the action of wind, and the rest wet material cannot move quickly due to its own weight. The material shall be fully dried within the controlled process to achieve the drying effect. When the moisture content of the material is reduced to 12-15%, the drying process is completely accomplished and the materials will be discharged by auger conveyor/ screw conveyor. A rapping cleaner is installed inside the drum to prevent the material from sticking to the drum wall.

Gas Flow : After being pressurized into the air-heating furnace  by an air blower, the air is heated up to 500-550 ℃, and then will be inhaled into a dryer induced draft for drying materials and evaporate the moisture. It will be discharged from the dryer when its temperature reduces to 55 to 60 ℃, while the dust moisture should reach a standard to discharge after a cyclone dust collector and a wet dust collector.

Features:

1. This dryer has achieved intelligent control---the operating parameters can be controlled automatically with one-button 'fool' operation. The dryer is always in the best state of operation, to ensure that the drying of wood chip moisture is uniform and stable, and it is more energy saving than the traditional dryer.

2. The dryer can automatically remove impurities and iron to ensure that impurities of sawdust do not enter the following process.

3. The thermal efficiency of self-insulation of the drum is up to more than 70% (the thermal efficiency of traditional single-drum dryer is only 35%), and the thermal efficiency is increased by more than 30%.

4. With four-wheel drive, the dryer has more stable and reliable transmission.

5. It covers about 50% less land than the single-drum dryer, which reduces the civil construction investment by about 50%.

6. The internal structure of the dryer is combined by various efficient raising plate, which an effectively control the drying process and heat distribution to ensure high heat utilization. The waste gas is lower than 50 ℃ when it is discharged.

7. Variable frequency speed regulation is adopted to control the material flow, and the desired final moisture index can be easily adjusted and controlled according to the needs of users.

8. Throughout the drying process, modular dust collection, dust removal, purification, heat recycle are of safe and environmental protection.

9. The dryer is supported with a number of new energy-saving air heating furnaces, which are of high efficiency and energy saving, controllable heating and simple operation. Energy consumption is down to about 30%, while electricity consumption is down 20%, and the operating cost is lower.
